Because of a very successful edition in 2013, LUCIS is proud to present another edition of Salon Joussour in the National Museum of Antiquities on 11 March 2015. Salon Joussour introduces Arabic music to culturally interested audience, as well as musicians and artists in the Netherlands. Classical Arabian music is a world of passion, poetry, nuances and details. Yet, the background, the instruments and the musical language remains an uncharted territory, for most people, despite the increasing interest in Arabic creativity among artists, musicians and the public in general. Salon Joussour crafts a bridge bonding Arabic and European ingenuity, through connecting renowned Dutch musicians with musical guests from the Arab world.

With:

Rima Khchieich - vocals
Ahmad al Khatib - ud
Antoine Khalife - violon
Maarten Ornstein - clarinet
Tony overwater - bass
Latif al Obeidy - percussion
